Experience
I have worked at the local, state and federal level and understand the budgetary
and municipal issues facing our community.
- I have had a successful first term on the Shrewsbury Board of
Selectmen working cooperatively to move our town forward.
- Having served a full term on our Board of Selectmen, Shrewsbury's Fiscal Study Committee and the
Board of Assessors for 8 years, I understand our town's budget.
- I attended Holy Cross College for my undergraduate degree and Clark
University for my Masters in Public Administration.
Knowledge
My knowledge of private/public economic development is extensive. I have served in
senior level positions that include public policy, finance and economic development,
and real estate development.
- As a senior executive at MassDevelopment, I helped develop
a new community
from scratch when the state took on the redevelopment of the former Fort Devens.
I understand the infrastructure needs to expand our commercial tax
base.
- As Senior Vice President for A.D. Makepeace Company, the largest private
land owner in Massachusetts, I oversee real estate development and
regulatory permitting.
I understand the difference a coordinated and efficient local
permitting process can make when faced with just how complex state development
permitting hampers expansion of our tax base.
