Read what my 2009 supporters said for my ad in Shrewsbury Chronicle.
"Having recently retired as Shrewsbury Town Clerk, I have been associated for several years with Jim Kane, a member of the
Board of Assessors. Jim has always demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and integrity in his duties as Assessor as well
as in his service on the Fiscal Study Committee and the Industrial Development Commission.
I am supporting Jim's candidacy for election to the Board of Selectmen on May 5th. His previous experience on the Marlborough
City Council and its Finance Committee combined with his private sector position in the field of commercial development makes
him uniquely qualified to immediately become a valuable member of the Board of Selectmen. Jim's knowledge of state and federal
statutes and mandates under which municipal government must operate distinguishes him as the right choice for our community in
these difficult economic times. As a parent of three young children in the Shrewsbury school system, Jim is concerned for residents
of all ages from the very young to senior citizens."
- Ann Dagle
"I support Jim Kane for Selectman in Shrewsbury. I like Jim because he hasn't misled me into thinking he has all the answers.
I will vote for him and encourage others to vote for Jim Kane because he has experience, is balanced on the realities of our
situation, and is authentic. If anyone from Shrewsbury is reading this and is concerned and confused about the future of our
community, I ask you to contact Jim, and understand for yourself just how important it is to have this dedicated family man,
effective business leader, and selfless citizen help forge our future."
- Peter Collins
"Shrewsbury is a vibrant diverse community, home to caring, and responsible residents. This election, we need to select well
grounded, proven leadership to ensure our community's well-being. No better person is running for Selectman than Jim Kane. His
extensive governmental leadership will not require on-the-job training. He doesn't just think up ideas, he implements positive
improvements, while maintaining adherence to budgetary constraints. A dedicated family man, he knows how important it is to
fairly treat all generations.
Jim Kane is the leader Shrewsbury needs today! Vote May 5th to better Shrewsbury. Vote for Jim Kane for Selectman!"
- Robert Holland
